Looks like the messes within organizations charged with looking after policing and security at the national level aren't isolated to our neighbours below the 49th parallel.

Our federal cops seem to be more and more compromised. The Arar case, the aftermath of which caught the RCMP Commissioner in some less than truthful statements, the ongoing shootings in British Columbia - less known about at the national level, troll around the web and you can find other unsettling cases where the RCMP seems to be a bit compromised, particularly where they act for provincial or territorial governments as regional police.
So, maybe start pulling passports of every senior current and former RCMP officer?
