Yesterday, no Friday evening, during the Ifta after the first day of Ramadan, at the Whitehouse, Obama made note of one of the supposed founding principles of the USA, namely the freedom of religion. The reference was in regard to the "Mosque" farce currently addling the brains of 68% of the legal entities that reside in that part of North America. Most of the rest-of-the-world has become use to the middle of North America and the periodic [semi-]mass frenzies manufactured by its elites to distract its self-righteous inhabitants.
The "Mosque" farce is the newest of these madnesses to sweep the USA and swirls around demonizing of the second largest religion in the modern world, the Muslim faith. Seems a Muslim community centre is proposed for a site in New York City a small stone's throw away from that country's latest sacred symbol. The symbol, or "hallowed ground" as Obama calls it, is, of course, where the World Trade Centre Towers use to stand prior to September 11, 2001.
The issue is farce because it has been made into such by people (that's folks in the USA) who have turned anyone or thing of the Muslim, faith into the newest threat to the mythical nature of the USA. This demonstrates, contrary to the country's foundation legend, the underlying natural propensity for intolerance and ignorance in the heart of most of its US citizens.
Mr. Obama had attempted to underline, to all his fellows, one point of their foundation legend after eating with a group of Muslims. [Unless George W. Bush had actually started the practice of hosting the first Ifta of the month of Ramadan I suspect Obama would not have initiated it]. The point mentioned by Obama was freedom of religion which may, or may not, but likely does, imply the building of a place to carry out the rituals of the religion you are supposed free to practice. He hadn't done it with any passion or conviction to my ears but than I'm a might tired of his faux preacher vocal renditions because I can't sort out if there is any realness behind the words. Me, I would have used the opportunity to scold the bigots and demagogues for the farce they've created and the damage they have heaped on the US foundation myth. Not Obama's style.
Now it also seems, though some say not so, the simple principle, Obama was reminding his fellows of, really should have been nuanced to death to make it palatable to the before mentioned bigots and demagogues.
